Meet the Founders

We’re Sarah and Christine, and our story goes back decades. We were born and raised right here in Ann Arbor, and today, we’re raising our own families in the very same community that shaped us. Between the two of us, we have five kids and a lifetime of shared history. Sacred Fourth grew out of that deep friendship, our own messy paths through motherhood, and a shared belief that moms deserve so much more than they're getting.

Sarah Williams

Founder

The vision for Sacred Fourth was born right in the thick of my own postpartum experiences—the raw beauty, the deep challenges, and everything in between. After navigating early motherhood with barely any support, I made it my mission to change how we show up for new moms. I wanted to create a space where women are deeply nurtured emotionally and spiritually, not just tended to physically. Having three kids of my own, I know firsthand that birth brings a massive transformation to your body, your identity, and your relationships. I lead with empathy because I’ve been there, and my goal is simple: to ensure no mother ever has to feel alone or unseen.

Christine Rodrigues

Co-Founder

I bring years of experience in advocacy and community-based care to our mission, but my deepest understanding comes from being a mother of two. I know the emotional complexity and physical intensity that define the journey of becoming a mother. Balancing early motherhood with a demanding career illuminated the urgent need for spaces that honor and care for the whole mother. My work with families—especially those navigating complex systems—fuels my commitment to building inclusive, trauma-informed spaces that honor each mother’s unique story.

Together, we are building a holistic wellness experience that feels like both a warm embrace and a brave revolution—one that places mothers exactly where they belong: at the center.
